Vinpearl received “Top Trade services" Prize

On 06/01/2008 at International Conference Centre located at 11 Le Hong Phong, Hanoi, “Top Trade Services” Prize Ceremony will be organized by Ministry of Industry and Commerce. The Ceremony will be broadcasted live on VTV1 of Vietnam Television. Vinpearl Tourism and Trading Joint Stock Company shall be one among companies to be awarded this prestigious prize.
Year 2007 was a successful year of Vinpearl Tourism and Trading Joint Stock Company. The number of visitors to Vinpearl in the first 8 months of 2007 accounts for nearly a half million visitors. The occupancy efficiency of hotel rooms of Vinpearl is increasingly high; i.e. in normal days, the occupancy efficiency accounts for 73% and on Holidays and at Weekends, the occupancy efficiency accounts for 100%. The revenue in the first 9 months reached 354 billion VND…Besides, Vinpearl Land is also selected as the place for organizing big cultural and social events of the country. In 2007, there were 6 big events organized in Vinpearl Land namely 21st Century Women Competition; The Guide Awards, Sao Mai Television Singing 2007, Final Round of First Miss World Vietnamese Competition, Special Prize Competition of Miss Earth 2007 and the Performance “Singers – Great Arms” with the participation of more than 150 Vietnamese and foreign singers.
In 2007, Vinpearl was also awarded the prize for Resorts (hotels, resting and apartments for rent) organized annually by Vietnamese Economic Times Newspaper and the Guide to certify “the longest cable car cross the sea of Vietnam” into Vietbooks. On 7/10, Vinpearl was also awarded the Golden Star of Vietnam Prize organized by Center of Vietnamese Youth Union in coordination with Young Vietnamese Enterprises’ Union.
“Top Trade Services” Prize is the high prestigious prize for enterprises operating in 11 trading and services sectors which Vietnam commits to implement after joining World Trade Organization (WTO). “Top Trade Services” Prize is awarded to 108 enterprises operating in Trading and services sectors by Ministry of Industry and Commerce. Nearly 400 enterprises registered to participate in the prize of this year. The prize is selected on the criteria of: quality on management and operation, prestige and quality of goods and services, high growth rate and stabilization for many years, having long-term development direction for brand names and responsible for the community and society… On the other hand, in order to be awarded this prize, the enterprises have to go through three selection rounds and assessed as the enterprises which overcome difficulties and obstacles since Vietnam joined WTO and deeply integrated with the regional and the world economy. The prize is supposed to be held annually since this year.
Selection for “Top Trade Services” Prize is implemented basing on the principle of getting votes from readers of the newspaper and through the website www.baothuongmai.com.vn and must be approved by the Board of Examiners. The Board of Examiners includes Leaders of Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Editorial Director of Commercial Newspaper, Team Leader of the WTO Accession of Vietnam Negotiation Team, Trade Unions of Commerce and Tourism of Vietnam, Office manager of Ministry of Industry and Commerce, National Committee on international economic coordination, Institute of commercial Research, Department of Domestic Market Policy, Department of Commercial Promotion.
